Following our recent ‘Talks from The Shed’ session with the inspirational keynote speaker Steve Judge, we have been reflecting on how using our mental strength and resilience, we can overcome obstacles and challenges in everyday life. Steve’s story is one of incredible perseverance and determination. Following a near fatal accident which left him without the use of his legs, he taught himself how to walk again. Step by step he regained the ability to walk, swim, run and cycle, leading to becoming a two-time World Paratriathlon Champion.
Following his triumphs, Steve made further progression by becoming a motivational keynote speaker. As mentioned in his latest keynote, which he debuted with us here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2V94rBj4QU&t=1011s, having a vision drawn out (figuratively and literally in Steve’s case!) of where you want to be can be instrumental to achieving what you want.
Finding your gold is a key element of Steve’s philosophy, and one which we also strongly believe. Setting a goal and taking the steps to achieve it, no matter how much each time, is key. Making progress, even if it is minimal, is still moving in the right direction. This is what we deliver at The Progress Shed too.
